Family Constellation Therapy
Family Constellation work is a gentle yet profound method of exploring
how unseen family dynamics may be influencing your present life.
Developed by Bert Hellinger, this approach is based on the
understanding that we are deeply connected to our family system
— across generations.
Sometimes we unconsciously carry:
-
The grief of those who came before us
-
The fate of an excluded family member
-
A loyalty to a parent’s suffering
-
A sense of guilt for outgrowing our origins
-
When these dynamics remain unseen, they can express themselves as
repeating patterns, relationship struggles, health challenges,
money blocks, or a persistent feeling of not belonging.
Constellation work brings these hidden dynamics into awareness —
not through analysis, but through direct experiential exploration.
How It Works
In a session, we begin with a clear intention.
Using spatial representation (people in group settings or objects in private sessions), we map key elements of your family system. What unfolds is often surprising: representatives begin to sense emotions and impulses that reflect the underlying dynamics of the system.
Without forcing or dramatizing, we follow the movements that arise. Through subtle repositioning and simple restorative sentences, disrupted bonds can settle and natural order can be restored.
This work honors three core systemic principles:
-
Everyone has a right to belong
-
There is a natural order between generations
-
Balance between giving and receiving supports healthy relationships
When these principles are acknowledged, something often shifts — quietly but deeply.

The Nature of the Work
This is not talk therapy and does not replace medical or psychological treatment.
It is an embodied and systemic process that can bring deep material to the surface. Emotional readiness and personal responsibility are important.
The intention is not to blame parents or rewrite history — but to restore dignity and rightful place to all members of the system, including you.

Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is Family Constellation work?
Family Constellation work is a systemic approach developed by Bert Hellinger. It explores how unconscious loyalties, exclusions, and unresolved events within a family system can influence present-day patterns.
Rather than analyzing the mind, we work with the relational field of the family system. When hidden dynamics are acknowledged, a natural reordering can occur.
How can something from my ancestors affect me now?
We are born into a system of belonging. If someone in the family was excluded, forgotten, or carried a heavy fate, later generations may unconsciously identify with or carry aspects of that experience.
This is not mystical superstition — it is systemic loyalty. The work gently reveals where you may be carrying something that does not belong to you.
Is this therapy?
No. Constellation work is not psychotherapy and does not replace medical or psychological treatment.
It is an experiential, systemic process. If you are currently in therapy, this work can complement it — but it is not a substitute for licensed mental health care.
What happens in a 1:1 session?
We begin with a clear intention. Using spatial mapping (floor markers or objects), key elements of your family system are placed in relation to one another.
From there, we observe what emerges — sensations, impulses, emotional shifts. Through subtle repositioning and restorative sentences, order can be restored where it has been disrupted.
Sessions last 90–120 minutes.
Will I have to relive trauma?
No.
This work does not require re-traumatization or dramatic catharsis. We do not force emotional expression. Often the most profound shifts are quiet and precise.
However, strong emotions can arise, and emotional responsibility is important.
What kinds of issues can this support?
Constellation work can illuminate patterns around:
-
Relationships and intimacy
-
Mother or father wounds
-
Repeating life obstacles
-
Money and success blocks
-
Ancestral grief
-
Miscarriage, abortion, or sibling loss
-
Feeling “out of place” or burdened
The focus is not the symptom — but the systemic dynamic beneath it.
How will I know if it worked?
Constellation shifts often integrate gradually.
You may notice:
-
A softening of internal tension
-
Changes in relationship dynamics
-
A greater sense of groundedness
-
Different emotional responses to familiar triggers
The work reorganizes at a systemic level rather than creating immediate surface “fixes.”
Is this work safe?
When facilitated responsibly, constellation work is gentle and respectful.
That said, it is not recommended for individuals in acute psychiatric crisis or active psychosis. If you are unsure whether this work is appropriate for you, we can discuss this before booking.
Do I need to know my full family history?
No.
The field often reveals what is relevant, even when information is incomplete.
How many sessions will I need?
Sometimes one session brings significant clarity. For deeper or layered dynamics, more than one session may be beneficial.
This is not designed to create dependency. The aim is resolution and rightful placement — not ongoing processing.
If you’d like, I can also:
-
Create a “Who This Is Not For” section (very powerful for authority)
-
Write a strong ethical boundary statement
-
Or refine your tone to align with your Fire / Feminine lineage positioning
Would you like this FAQ to feel more feminine, more sovereign, or more clinically authoritative?
